Gearing up for wedding season...

I have to say I am horrible about keeping the blog updated. We have done several exciting events since our last blog update. My husband and I found out Jan 22 that we are expecting our first baby. This was the day after we hosted our first Speed Dating event @ Baker's 360
Our event was a success and we had Tops in Lex, so be sure to check out the pics. We are proud to say that we have several couples that met at our first event still going strong...we are secretly hoping for wedding bells in the near future!
Wedding season is here and boy have we been busy, several wedding back to back and different states. Our bridal show we are hosting is next month and we are very excited! For more info please check out our website.

I also want to mention to all the budget savvy brides that surprisingly EBay is a great way to find some great deals, from wedding programs to table runners and much more! The key is to learn to weigh out all your options if your really wanting to make the most of your budget you have to be willing to go that extra mile.

Wow...I can't believe 2009 is already gone!! 2010 is going to be a great year! The year has already started off great I have to say. Business is picking up...booked 3 wedding this week!! We are gearing up for our Speed Dating event at Bakers 360 in Lexington, KY by request we are also working on a Bowling Green, KY Speed Dating event. Still looking for the perfect venue....I will keep everyone posted!!

The response has been awesome, we already have many vendors signed up and we hope to bring a bridal show to the area that is exclusively for the budget conscience bride. We will be offering great door prizes and a grand prize no bride wants to miss!

Bridal Fest 2009

I can't believe the bridal show is only a few weeks away. I spent the day on the phone with WUHU 107.1 and WKNY NBC/CBS, our intensive advertising has began. I was asked today to appear on WKNY morning show, I must admit I am a bit nervous but I am super excited about getting to promote the show. I signed up some great vendors today!! I can't wait till 9/20 the show is going to be awesome and I can't wait to help local brides pave their paths to a perfect wedding!!

Getting started...

I have been meaning to start this whole blog thing for a while now. It just seems like there is never enough hours in the day to get everything done. I suppose my to-do lists are a lot longer these days. But I am not complaining...Life is Good!! I can't believe that the Bridal Fest is less than a month away. We have been working so hard the past few months trying to get everything finalized. As each day passes and 9/20 gets a little closer I get a little more excited. I have talked to some great vendors lately. I received a packet in the mail today from a very talented calligrapher in the Lexington area. She just started her business a few months ago and I can't wait to refer her services on to my new clients.

I just finished up a new contract with a bride this week. I am so excited to help her plan her very special day! I am also looking forward to planning Summer's wedding in May. Summer decided to join me in my venture of starting my own event planning business. I have known Summer for years now and I can't wait to make her dreams come true in planning her fairy tale wedding.

Our second Wedding Planning 101 Workshop is coming up on Tuesday here in Lexington. I am looking forward to a good turnout and brides to be ready to learn the tricks of planning a wedding.
